Dream a little dream for me. . . .

So Lance and I have some really amazing friends, and these really amazing friends APPARENTLY have some skills at finding homes that are perfect for them, but in doing so they find ones next to ones that are completely ideal for us. I love my friends I truly do but they have put this house in my head that on paper is everything I have EVER wanted in my first home, now keep in mind other than the houses I have rented in the past or the ones Mom and Dad have paid mortgages on I have never ever owed my own house. NEVER, now don’t think that I am upset about this, really and truly I have wanted a house the moment I walked into my first pottery barn and the suppression of need/want/desire has been suppressed.

But since setting my beautiful eyes (they are quite pleasant, my favorite feature and I don’t mind telling you so) on this brick worked beauty it is all, literally, I have been able to dream/think about. So I wanted to share the image with you so it will get stuck in your mind as well.

Dream away fools.

And yes Hannah there is a special room in there for you.

Please feel free to send me money for a down payment at anytime my lovely loyal readers.

Hey 2010 you are looking good

Happy 2010!
Another year already??
Sheesh how much faster can these years pass me by?

Well the life of Jen has been pretty entertaining in this last month. Lance and I traveled to Milton, Fl to visit my lovely family. We had a great time with the kids, Marcia, Bill, Mom and Dad. We felt very lucky that we got to experience all that is four children opening holiday presents; it was like a tornado of wrapping paper, ribbons, and thank yous flying around us. The kids seemed pretty pleased with all their holiday goodies and Marcia’s house was a very inviting holiday home, there were my new favorite cherry cookies, and great coffee, food, company and much much more. Marcia has truly made her lovely house a home. The Mario competition in the house was kind of rough but the kiddos did let me play for a little while. I think Lance and I might have enjoyed the kids toys more than they did. Can’t wait until we can have one of those little humans ourselves so we have more reasons to buy toys to keep in our home.

Mom and Dad rented a really big ocean view condo for the remainder of the holiday. Lance and I visited with them in Biloxi and Lance got to try his hand at Slot Machines and boy is he a penny machine shark, he played the casinos like he was the boss. Alas I pretty much lost all I had to my name but made it all back before we called it quits for the night. The day after the four of us traveled into New Orleans. I had not been there since my Lamar Dixon horse adventure the month after Katrina and Lance had not stopped in since 2000 during a boys’ trip. Things sure seemed different but the New Orleans smell still lingered, ahhh the smells one will never forget. We each had a drink of our choice at one of the famous bars and we froze our butts off as we walked down from Riverfront to Bourbon Street, but the four mile tour was well worth the effort. We were able to purchase the new Mario game for ourselves with Lance’s winnings and I picked up a lovely leather and rope bracelet from an awesome street vendor in New Orleans.

It was hard to leave Mom and Dad behind as we made the twelve hour drive home. But it was good to return to our two happy puppies. Our amazing friends Kathy, Stephanie and June were oh so kind to keep an eye on them and we could tell the puppies were disappointed to see Lance and I as they were expecting Kathy, Stephanie or June. It was very nice to spend some wonderful quality time with Lance, I appreciated the time we shared in the car (both of us stayed awake) and our 8 mile walk down the shores and through the neighborhoods of Biloxi. It was nice just to hang out with one another and not have to stress really about anything.

New Years eve/day was fun had some great time, food, and company with our dear friends. We all made it until midnight to cheers in the new year and traveled home safely to sleep in for the new year.

From the shores of Biloxi to a table at our favorite Flaming Amy’s in Wilmington our Winter Holiday was full of travels, great fun and fellowship across the board.

Below are photos of Seth’s Christmas Custom Shirt. Oh!! My baby t-shirts will soon be placed at the Cotton Exchange in Wake Forest, NC for the viewing public to touch, see and hopefully purchase. I will still do custom requests from my etsy site (or email) for those who are interested. Treasure Trove jewelry will be carrying the shirts with their amazing jewelry.

I look forward to all the adventures that 2010 will bring. Lance and I will have many many amazing and exciting happenings in the coming months so check back and see what I/we/etsy are up to!!
